Weekend delight with all these doggies! What a treat it was to have all these dogs with us! Mel, our regular client who comes every Friday and stays until Saturday, this time stayed all the way to Monday so her mom and dad could go on a short trip over the weekend. What a nice, warm morning to take the dogs to another one of my favorite spots in North Canterbury: Pegasus Town. I think the man-made lake is the most appealing feature of the township, likely because it reminds of my hometown in Brazil: Brasilia, where there’s also a man-made lake. We had Indie at Day Care today so I took her and my boys Rocky, Wookie and Jack for a nice long walk around Pegasus Lake. A walk along the NCF Reserve in Kaiapoi's Red Zone

Today’s morning walk was along the Kaiapoi Red Zone where there’s now a beautiful park/reserve called NCF Reserve (sorry, I have no idea what NCF stands for – please feel free to write under the “comments” if you do!). It’s one of my favorite spots in Kaiapoi to take the dogs to. But please keep your dogs under control because of the wildlife. Our new guest Toby is very popular with the other dogs!

Toby came to Rocky & Co. Pet Care with his sister Rigby. They’ll be staying with us for 2 and 1/2 weeks! Ribgy is quieter and prefers to hang out indoors, but Toby is a social butterfly. Doggy Day Care News - a play house for the dogs!

We are so excited about our new and huge dog play house! Ample space for a mattress, a beanbag and dog toys. It’s NOT a sleep out. It’s for our Dog Day Care. The dogs can use it as they please and whenever they want. A quiet area for those less energetic, more senile, or simply want some time-out from the fuzz. Not long after Anna and Blair moved out to the country I took Jack out for a visit to see how he would fit in with the prospect of me having some time away.\nThis was now a situation where I realised I needed to rehome Jack. Jack was on anti-depressants as a result of the earthquakes, would nip males and hated the vet!
