So, this is basically how we start our day (when it’s not raining). Dogs all over the place, running and playing together. Today, we also say good-bye to our two long-term guests Zyra and Ares. It was such a delight to have them around. They got along with everyone. Ares, who started as a wee scary boy on the first two days, blossomed and started making lots of friends. Soon later he was playing with everyone, feeling very confident to play fetch and some doggy (friendly) wrestle. I’ll miss them so much!......

Today, I took Ruby, Bella and Mickey for a walk in Silverstream Village, Kaiapoi. Ruby and Bella are at Rocky’s Day Care today, whereas Mickey will be staying with us for a few weeks. I like to find a quiet spot during our morning walks where I can stop with the dogs for a wee while and appreciate the view. Not long after Anna and Blair moved out to the country I took Jack out for a visit to see how he would fit in with the prospect of me having some time away.\nThis was now a situation where I realised I needed to rehome Jack. I got in touch with Anna and after she and Blair had a discussion they decided they would take him on and adopt him. Jack was on anti-depressants as a result of the earthquakes, would nip males and hated the vet! He went to them with issues.\nJack has lived with Anna and Blair since February 2017 and I was very sad to give him up and say goodbye. But, Anna has kept me informed and up-to-date with his progress via Facebook and I have been able to follow his amazing progress and transformation because of the time and effort that has been put into his impeccable care and the love afforded to him.\nJack is very fortunate to be a full member of their family with Rocky and Wookie too!
