A set of images of our Jack from when we adopted him over a year ago til now.

We adopted Jack in January 2017 from a dear friend who, unfortunately, had to give him up after she’d been made redundant. She had to move to Auckland to find another job.

Since Jack was already 9 years old and on meds, Blair and I didn’t think he’d stand much of a chance of getting adopted if he were taken to SPCA or Second Chance. So, we offered to keep him.

And our love story began…

It is a heartwarming peace of mind to be able to check in and watch Spud having fun in their backyard. I was so worried about what we would do with our girl when we went away. With a dog and cat in tow I was having a lot of difficulty finding somewhere to rent and was beginning to get desperate.\nI had followed Anna for several years on Facebook as she had been recommended to me as a great dog sitter. Not long after Anna and Blair moved out to the country I took Jack out for a visit to see how he would fit in with the prospect of me having some time away.\nThis was now a situation where I realised I needed to rehome Jack. I got in touch with Anna and after she and Blair had a discussion they decided they would take him on and adopt him. Jack was on anti-depressants as a result of the earthquakes, would nip males and hated the vet! He went to them with issues.\nJack has lived with Anna and Blair since February 2017 and I was very sad to give him up and say goodbye. But, Anna has kept me informed and up-to-date with his progress via Facebook and I have been able to follow his amazing progress and transformation because of the time and effort that has been put into his impeccable care and the love afforded to him.\nJack is very fortunate to be a full member of their family with Rocky and Wookie too!
